I have just got back from London after completing my PICP level 1 qualification that i have been working on for the past few months. What a great course it was and the three day practical section in London was amazing. It is so great being surrounded by trainers that are truly interested in what they are doing and also being trained by some of the best strength coaches in the world. Andre Benoit, who was one of the lectures, competed in the Olympic Games 1988 and 1992 and the founder of the PICP programme, Charles Poliquin, has trained Olympic medallists in 18 different sports and also 10 world record holders. This course really is the real deal!!
The Poliquin International Certification Programme is designed to internationally recognise personal trainers and strength coaches who demonstrate the knowledge and skills to effectively train athletes worldwide. A large part of the PICP is being able to access the structural balance of your athletes / clients bodies and prescribe corrective exercises and stretches to help rectify imbalances, which will have been holding them back from progressing. I am really looking forward to using all of my new found knowledge with my clients and helping them progress even more.
